Shadow Minister for the Central Coast, Chris Hartcher, today called on local Labor MPs and candidates to publicly reject Morris Iemma’s election campaign slogan.

The slogan, “Heading in the right direction”, is to become the call sign of the ALP campaign, but Mr Hartcher pointed to NSW almost-zero growth rate as proof NSW is heading in very much the wrong direction.

Shadow Minister for the Central Coast, Chris Hartcher, today called on Premier Morris Iemma to allow Labor MP, Marie Andrews to fight her own battle.

It is understood the Premier has lent Ms Andrews two of his own Premier’s Department staff to help campaign in the new seat of Gosford against the Liberal Party’s Chris Holstein.

Shadow Minister for the Central Coast, Chris Hartcher, today called on David Harris, Labor’s Candidate for Wyong, to resign his position immediately before he embarrasses his party any further.  

Today Mr Harris issued a press release claiming that because the Central Coast is a commuter area, Peter Debnam’s public service attrition program will hurt the Central Coast.

Shadow Minister for the Central Coast Chris Hartcher today called on Premier Morris Iemma to end his campaign for extra bureaucrats, revealing that from 1995 to 2003, 350 extra full-time bureaucrats were hired to work at Central Coast Health without the provision of a single extra bed.

The revelations, from information provided by CC Health insiders, come as Morris Iemma’s hand-picked Young Labor hacks were yesterday told to shadow Liberal Leader Peter Debnam to disrupt his Get NSW Back in Front – Living the Issues Tour.

Shadow Minister for the Central Coast, Chris Hartcher, today called on Central Coast ALP candidates and members to get together and decide on a water policy before March.

The last few weeks has seen ALP members, candidates and ministers pitted against each other to the detriment of the Central Coast community. By comparison, the NSW Coalition has presented a consistent and community-oriented water message.

"Ark" the herald angels sing... Print E-mail

Shadow Minister for the Central Coast, Chris Hartcher, today welcomed the start of Planet Ark’s Cards 4 Planet Ark campaign.

The campaign is aimed at reducing the number of Christmas cards that go in to land fill after the Christmas period by collecting them and recycling them.

Now in its 13th year, Cards 4 Planet Ark has recycled 550 million greeting cards.
