As a Member of Parliament on the Central Coast, my priorities are:

• Water conservation and the establishment of better water infrastructure to provide for the future. The Labor Government in NSW has done nothing for 10 years about Central Coast water. Now, their only plan is to build a new dam in the Hunter Valley which won't be finished for another 10 years. A once-every-20-years plan is not good enough.
  
  
• Responsible urban development to ensure transport, health and police services can keep up with the pace of population growth. I am opposed to the Iemma Government's plans to increase the population of the Central Coast without providing additional health, transport or police services and without providing additional resources to schools and teachers. The Central Coast simply does not have enough water for more people.
  
  
• Building up our education system for the future. Providing proper resources to teachers and school support staff. After 12 years of Labor Government, teachers are being forced to bring their own pens, books and paper to school to ensure our kids get a proper education. School toilets are a disgrace, they must be fixed.
  
  
• Supporting our Police Force - more Police Officers, better and more reliable equipment, local police stations and more beat police. Morris Iemma has reduced Police numbers by 600 officers. This is a backward step for our Police Force. The Iemma Government has closed Terrigal Police Station and has never put a single officer into Kincumber Police Station.
